l u c k - vs - l u k i e s t

Luck: An unknown and unpredictable phenomenon that causes an event to result in one way rather than another.

Synonyms: chance, circumstances, destiny, fate, fortune, hazard, lot, portion.

Types Of: bad luck, good luck, ill luck, tough luck

This is what you would be seeing or finding in any good dictionary.

If this is what it had to mean, then what do you mean by most lucky or luckiest? Probably step ahead of good luck. The answer would be obviously Y-E-S- YES!

Here is a titty-bitty (very small) example, where you would be wondering in differentiating or accepting between luck and most lucky (or) luck been treated as unlucky and luckier been treated as luck itself. Is it quite confusing? hope I don't.

Before getting into an example, let me brief all you guys about some of the facts that are around and within us.

Considering one part of our life, where we feel better being a human and we are lucky enough ( most of us think off and we should be...) But if we are poor being a human, we might feel that we are unlucky than any other human who is lucky enough to be rich in comparatively. It means if you're rich being a human then you're luckiest.

It is very simple if we were more than what we are now then we are lucky. If not, we aren't. There are cases, where people think, " Whatever I am now, I am happy with that. I don't want to be rich, to be happy". Yes! Of course, you're and me too. And these fellows are been called in INDIA as middle-class people or might be in any other country.

We would be telling those lines until our standards of living are quite good and no obstacles are in front, if not then what?

Being poor also, people say those lines. Who are those people? They are the people of happy living with what they have and thank god! (If they believed) for whatever they have been.

Here is my example, I would totally or partially negate from the above said.

So, here comes the example to be briefed up:

One fine morning, as usual, I have started for the office to come by bus and it's been always quite rush at times. So, I need to stand and come to reach my office. If you get a seat to sit then you're lucky, if not then it's not your day been. Somehow I saw a seat been getting vacated but it was somewhat cumbersome to sit and most time I give seats to sit for the needed one first. So, I have decided to give a chance for someone to get seated. I thought that guy was l u c k y enough to get that seat.

BUT

I was l u c k i e s t than him, I was given a better seat to sit comfortably by another guy who just got down after I offered a seat to someone.

There is nothing miraculous in the example or new stuff to be learnt, this is all about how you take the situation and make benefit out of it. If you take every situation in your life as learning then you've an answer for every question you come across in life. It's not like a 'Slumdog Millionaire' film kind of stuff but it's something basic ethical to be understood.

If I would have thought that I am unlucky when I lost a seat to sit then I would have been wrong.

Moral of the example is:

Never think If you've lost a chance it doesn't mean you've been screwed always by god or something happens only with you or you're the unluckiest person. It means you're about to be given a better chance in the next moment or at any other moment. You were been saved from getting a g o o d chance in order to get the b e t t e r chance.

Here in the same example, if you've lost the seat to sit and you've never got the seat till you reach the destination then does that mean you're unlucky?

I would still say - N - O - NO

Because there would be someone who has been in need of that seat to sit because of his ill health or some other reason or so... Probably he might be luckier than you or need of than you. You're lucky to get the bus and he was luckier to get the seat.

You are never unlucky though you have not got a seat to sit till you reach the destination because you have been lucky to someone. So, he couldn't be luckiest without your luck.

L u c k is not a thing which is only for you its been a miracle for everyone at an unpredictable time.

There are people who always think that the worst things happen only to them and feel that the rest are always luckier and get better opportunities or chances to win. I can't say anything about it...Until unless we get into their shoes we can't predict anything of that sort...

But every time, when in a queue, the other line always moves faster and the person in front of you will always have the most complex of transactions.

This was one of Murphy's law stuff. There is nothing to be related to luck. But it's quite interesting if you relate and understand it with them.

Murphy's law is an adage that broadly states: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."

An adage (pronounced /adj), or adagium (Latin), is a short but memorable saying that holds some important fact of experience that is considered true by many people, or that has gained some credibility through its long use. It often involves a planning failure such as "don't count your chickens before they hatch" or "don't burn bridges behind you."

Here is some of the interesting Murphy's law:

  1. If you come early, the bus or train is late. If you come late? the bus or train is still late.

  2. Once you have bought something, you will find the same item being sold somewhere else at a cheaper rate.

  3. If you have paper, you don't have a pen? If you have a pen, you don't have paper? if you have both, no one calls.

  4. Especially for engineering Students, if you have bunked the class, the professor has taken attendance.

  5. You will pick up maximum wrong numbers when on roaming.

  6. The doorbell or your mobile will always ring when you are in the bathroom.

  7. If your exam is tomorrow, there will be a power cut tonight.

  8. Irrespective of the direction of the wind, the smoke from the cigarette will always tend to go to the non-smoker.

  9. Whenever I find the key to s u c c e s s, someone changes the l o c k.

  10. The road to success? It is always under construction.

  11. Alcohol doesn't solve any problems, but if you think again neither does Milk.

So, I would like to conclude this short concept of

l u c k - vs - l u c k i e s t with a small quote that I have thought of:

"hope for g o o d, if it's lost then b e t t e r is yet to come".

"Life is only traveled ONCE;
Today’s MOMENT becomes Tomorrow’s MEMORY.
Enjoy every moment, good or bad, because the GIFT of LIFE is LIFE itself..."
