Cleaning dishes by hand

While I was cleaning dishes by hand, these thoughts were flashing on and off inside my head. In general, it happens that, we are doing something very seriously, no one is talking to us and we are doing our own stuff and then some random thoughts pop out and we keep talking with ourselves that "this is how it's been", "I would do it this way", "I will talk about this with this guy" etc etc. Mind wanders in search of something without any direction and goal to reach but giving some insights to that, probably some unquestioned answers which were in the subconscious of our mind is wondering to figure out some conclusion.

So, this time, when I was cleaning dishes, I first had a look into the sink, there were some big vessels and some cutleries then there were few plates and all. Also, it wasn' organized way and in the first look, I  wondered how many hours it's going to take to clean up. But then, I started with a simple strategy, I picked up one were around the sink, I cleaned up one after the other and moved out the vessels to dry out the area. So, it was getting more organized during the process of cleaning up. Once I cleaned with up big vessels and heavy dirt ones, the burden seems to get lighter as well and getting motivated to clean up the rest ASAP as well.

I was just wondering if I could apply a similar strategy with my work where I got to deal with bugs in software or if I am planning to learn something but I got plenty of materials here and there then this seems to be an apt one.

Sometimes, we organize things and then set some timeline and then achieve it. But sometimes, it gets organized on its own during the process itself, though the chance of this happening is very minimal but can't be denied as well. I am definitely not saying this is the approach to do certain things, all I am saying is, sometimes, things get taken care when we start attending things one after the other and never fall prey to thinking that this is a tough task, let me postpone, let me do this or that, etc, instead if we could focus to complete what we got in hand then things might get take care with discipline as well as we would be able to reach our goal as well.

A time that I took to clean up my dishes were way less than what I could estimate when I initially looked at all the dirty dishes in the sink as I didn't focus on how am I going to accomplish, rather I just kept cleaning up one after the other. Sometimes, taking tiny steps in a disciplined manner could yield unexpected results for us.

Nothing like I found some life mantra and all, but it just happened this way for me. I believe some of these kinds of life thoughts were been taught by our teachers, parents but we don't realize them as we didn't know the power of achievement and impact that it could create in our life.

Learning is in every corner of our lives, all we need is to keep our eyes open, observe, and learn from it. Just keep up the willingness to learn alive within yourself, it could be one of the wonderful motivational driving factors as we keep growing older.
