Enlighten read at midnight?!?

Spoiler Alert: I tried my best not to reveal much about the story but then, when I am talking about the essence of the story then certainly it may lose your interest when you buy a book and read it. It's definitely NOT for the ones who wish to read the story by themselves. You can continue to read if you have already read the book.

"Book or Parable: "Who moved my cheese?" - By Spencer Johnson

Book description: Who Moved My Cheese? is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is the amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life, for example, a good job, a loving relationship, money or possessions, health, or spiritual peace of mind. The maze is where you look for what you want, perhaps the organization you work in, or the family or community you live in. The problem is that the cheese keeps moving.

In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected changes in their search for cheese. One of them eventually deals with change successfully and writes what he has learned on the maze walls for you to discover. You'll learn how to anticipate, adapt to and enjoy change and be ready to change quickly whenever you need to.

Discover the secret of writing on the wall for yourself and enjoy less stress and more success in your work and life. Written for all ages, this story takes less than an hour to read, but its unique insights will last a lifetime."

It takes an hour or so to complete the read and get enlightened. I heard about the book while I was surfing some random videos on YouTube and when I felt interesting, purchased an e-book on Amazon, read the entire book at midnight itself, felt very happy about and it knocked on my door when I needed it most.

Four characters in the book are very interesting and the way every individual who is reading would try to interpret those characters with themselves would be interesting to watch.

So to simplify it, progressing from being complex brains to simpler brains is what going to make us happy, productive in our work, life, and everywhere.

                                        ------------------------------------------------------

From the book again, as the author describes best, "The four imaginary characters depicted in this story — the mice: “Sniff” and “Scurry,” and the Little people: “Hem” and “Haw” — are intended to represent the simple and the complex parts of ourselves, regardless of our age, gender, race or nationality. Sometimes we may act like Sniff: Who sniffs out change early, or Scurry: Who scurries into action, or Hem: Who denies and resists change as he fears it will lead to something worse, or Haw: Who learns to adapt in time when he sees changing can lead to something better! Whatever parts of us we choose to use, we all share something in common: a need to find our way in the Maze and succeed in changing times."

                                        ------------------------------------------------------

Incredible story and effective in changing our perspectives as the author covers all the if's and but's. At one point, I felt one of the characters named Haw resembles all the behavior of mine. But at some time, I felt, I behaved like the character Hem for a long time. Then I also felt, why I was never like Sniff and Scurry. But I enjoyed the roller coaster with each character and I was privileged to travel with each one of them on the ride traveling the maze and had an indescribable feeling of whether I would ever have my cheese back, or would I dare to move from the place where I was stuck in a hope that someone would put back the cheese at the same place, or have I should be moved long back to get my new cheese without any expectation that it wouldn't be same cheese as what I had but maybe at least I would have my cheese daily ?!? But the author is so clever that he guessed in his book that everyone would be able to correlate themselves with every character as they are part of themselves at some part of the time.

That little description about each character is good enough to sketch an imaginary world that I would like to describe myself, as every interesting story would have a big part of sadness and a way to get a breakthrough in it. So nothing unusual in mine, all I wondered why I am not able to sniff out early change in my life and move on with my life, why every time I am stuck like Hem, who is resisting for any new change as worrying something worse only to happen but again given my time to think and settle, how cool I am to change like Haw and adapt to the new changes but wondering inside why didn't I scurry into action much earlier.

Nevertheless, instead of answering myself for all the why's, this little story helped me to make a decision and adapt to the new changes as early as possible, knowing Hem like a character within me would resist not to change but I need to sniff that out as early as possible and scurry for new change as fast as I could, would be my learning from this book.

Like everyone, I also felt, this happened to be best for and at my life which I could ask for.
